The Restoration Process
We follow a simple process to uncover the 'hidden truth'. To expose the fault, first, we must strip back decades of bad decisions and choices.
A crucial element for preservation is materials. Years of bad decisions and contemporary products are likely to be the main cause behind the deterioration. We only use materials that are original to the period of the property and apply traditional methods to reinstate the natural heritage integrity.
Our process begins with an assessment and consultation to define all specifications for the work and materials needed. During the final stages, all existing paint, including any lead paint, is removed.
We carry out essential repairs using the best materials and practices to restore period woodwork. After a short curing process, we can begin the refinishing and final finish before installing.
Quality restoration is a process that cannot be rushed due to the use of natural materials and the British climate. However, once completed, it will last for generations to come.
